Ever since the Windows 10 October update was released, user’s seem to be facing compatibility issues between iCloud and Windows. And today, Apple released a new update for the iCloud software (version 7.8.1) which seems to have fixed this issue, this was initially spotted by 9to5Mac. Before this new update from the company, users were shown error messages and failed installation when they tried to upgrade iCloud for Windows on a Windows 10 machine that had the October patch. The users who already had iCloud prior to the October patch, are facing issues when they tried to sync their photos.
Both, Apple and Microsoft quickly said they were working on a “compatible version” for these issues faced by the users. Before today’s iCloud update, Microsoft has been blocking users from performing the October update if it’s detected that they are still using the older version of iCloud software on their PC.
