Facebook is finally taking their ‘Watch’ video platform globally. It initially was launched in the United States (US) a year ago. The company made this announcement in a blog post which they posted today morning. This announcement also means that partners/publishers can reach an audience of billions across countries and languages, these numbers are actually a massive addition.
The new audience numbers don’t necessarily mean that more partners are going to jump on board to this new platform, but it might actually give them more and better reasons to. This also means that advertisers can reach a more and wider audience and earn more profits via ‘ad breaks’. Another exciting news for ad break partners is that they can now publish adverts in other local languages as well, not just in english.
As per the blog post from the company, over 50 million people have watched a minute’s worth of videos a month. The blog post to tell that total time for watching videos has increased 14 times since the beginning of 2018.
Watch is now available for Android and iOS via the Facebook app, and it will also be available on Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, and Oculus TV.
