The battle between Microsoft and Google continues, few years back, the two companies fought over a YouTube application and now it is reported that Microsoft has removed a Chrome browser app from the Windows 10 app store just hours after Google released it onto the store, the application just redirects users to a link to install the browser. Google did this in an attempt to address the issue of fake Chrome apps found in the Windows store.
“We have removed the Google Chrome Installer App from Microsoft Store, as it violates our Microsoft Store policies,”.
Microsoft states that the Chrome app violates the company’s store policies and would allow Google to release its browser application to the store if the company complies with Microsoft’s store policies.
Well, Microsoft’s reasons for removing Google’s browser application seems legit but it also seems to me that Microsoft just wants their own apps to dominate the windows store, of course, I could be wrong. What do you think?
