As the clock on your iPhone hits 12:15AM today, your iPhone may repeatedly crash if your device is running on iOS 11.1.2. As per iMore and Twitter Engineer Yoshimasa Niwa, this bug is said to be related to third-party applications that use local notifications for things like reminders.
Even though the bug is said to occur today, it’s better and safe for you to follow the precautions below to avoid your device from crashing.
- Turn off notifications, or set your date back to some point in time before December 2nd, 2017
- Update your iPhone to public beta iOS 11.2 which is said to have a fix for this issue.
- Or update your device to iOS 11.2 which was a few hours ago
