Yesterday, Facebook announced that their messenger app will now support image uploads up to 4K resolution. And today Facebook is reportedly testing another new feature — well, not exactly new, the company is actually stealing this from * you know what company/app * (which is not quite surprising) — where users’ will now have streaks which is said to be very similar to the one on Snapchat.
This feature is being tested on a few accounts, Twitter user Case Sandberg found this feature and tweeted about it.

This is a very addictive “game” as it encourages users to send messages back and forth to their friends for days. The fact that it’s not surprising that Facebook stole this feature from Snapchat is because few months back the company stole the famous Snapchat face filters and camera filters.
Snapchat’s streaks are quite popular thanks to their young audience. It’s “quite” serious as the app itself notifies their users’ when their streak is about to expire. Also, don’t be surprised if you see this feature rolling out on Instagram and WhatsApp, as if Facebook is this desperate in lifting this feature from Snapchat they will definitely make it available for the above applications in the name of engagement.
